Had a quick search but there seems to be no way to prevent a parcel being delivered today and instead allowing it to be picked up from the depot. UKMail and others allows this. Happy to be corrected on this.

From Royal Mail? Would the sender give your email address over the counter when sending your package? confused

There are no options to change anything with RM until they attempt delivery.

From an E-mail recently:

Dear Customer,

Royal Mail has received your item <TRACKING NUMBER> from NETWORK BRANDS LIMITED at <MY LOCAL DELIVERY OFFICE> and we'll attempt to deliver it today, 14th June unless we have alternative arrangements with you.

Alternative arrangements would include the Keepsafe (hyperlink) service where we store your mail whilst you're away or the Redirection service to move mail to your new address.

For tracking & queries click here (Hyperlink)

I had an argument with parcel force about this, called them to tell them i wouldn't be in, and to leave it in the depot and i would collect that evening.

Was told it was their "legal obligation" to attempt to deliver it first rolleyes

Stick a sign on door to deliver to neighbour.

Collect from said neighbour.
