So what household items can you not be arsed to bin, or stockpile up just in case.......

I will start off with my Ketchup selection, mostly empty but you never know when in an emergency situation you may need those last few drops from an old bottle to dip a chip in!

There is something slightly wrong with you if you keep a bunch of empty ketchup bottles. That's excluding the number of them which probably equates to the amount I've bought in my life time.

I can't think of anything I keep except tyres, God knows why I have so many spare tyres! Actually I do know, it's just down to always running more than one set per car and then getting rid of the car. Somehow the next car never seems to have the same size! I'm not really sure how to get rid of them all so was considering turning them into garden planters or something.

I admit to over-buying certain things when they run out (e.g. I usually buy about a gallon of ketchup, 10 kilograms of porridge, 30L of bottled water, hundreds of kitchen/toilet rolls, 3 gallons of fabric conditioner etc) but I wouldn't exactly call that hoarding. All of the above have long shelf lives and I just store them in the shed until they're needed.

Hoarding empty ketchup bottles is a little unusual, I'll say.

I think the only thing I "hoard" is the wet wipe you get with KFC meals. I have about 20 in a drawer somewhere. They're great for cleaning jewellery and glass surfaces.

Screws.

I have thousands and thousands of them all sizes and threads.

If I see one in the gutter I will pick it up and take it home on the odd chance I might need it someday.

And don't get me started on plastic tie wraps........

Dear god that's grim.
Unless you get through one every four weeks some of those are years old.

How about keeping two and when one runs out buying another so you've always got a spare?

That is freakish.

They are all OCD'ly lined up like soldiers, so much so as to cause nightmares like the Pink Floyd Wall video with the marching hammers but ketchup bottles instead, all relentlessly marching towards you. You run but they still keep coming, there is knowhere to hide and nothing you can do and when they catch you they will liquidise you and turn you into ketchup and then you will join them and go after the next victim. But you always wake up just before you get turned into the red stuff. Except you don't, it is a nightmare within a nightmare and just when you are feeling completely hopeless a legion of Brown Sauce bottles start flying out of the tumble drier to the sound of Iron Maidens Trooper....

Absolutely disgusting. I suggest you try Tiptree tomato sauce, you'll never let that red coloured flavourless vinegar masquerading as tomato sauce past your lips ever again.

That's exactly what I thought too, after thinking how odd it is and then wondering why the fk they aren't in the in the fridge!

I think the only thing I hoard is plastic carrier bags, which I think is pretty normal.

Why on earth don't you just pour them all into just 2-3 bottles, why keep them all ?

[On the other hand, this is so weird that I think it's probably a wind up]

This is a call for help. OP, you need to ditch the sauce NOW.

Get a new 1 or 2 and put them where they belong, in the fridge. If you ever have a Woman round they will think you are retarded and leave.

Those little bits must be well out of date too. Absolutely rank.
