Just checked a few places I know had Photobucket hosting images and they're still showing as broken.

One of mine showed up fine recently, then later that some day it wouldn't show. Strange.

Could it be PB trying to encourage users back by briefly allowing hosting to see if they can encourage enough people to buy into a payment plan once photos go down again?

I only say this as over the last 10 days I've been receiving at least 1 email (straight to spam box ironically laugh ) telling me how great PB is, what great value they are ("only US$1 per day") and how now is the time to upgrade for 3rd party hosting. A couple of emails have also contained details of discounted rates (quite negligible though) for signing up to a paid plan before Halloween.

Had those mails too, love to know how their decision to impose 3rd party restrictions, and the subsequent fall out has affected their business (if at all)
