What fkwit who most probably got paid millions designed these new notes? I've just had a phone call of a pissed off colleague asking if I've come across a tenner of his, slipped out of his pocket apparently.

Yes I know we should all take better care of things bla bla bla but they are way too slippy for something thats so valuable, I've come close to losing them more than once, I've also told several other people when they have been hanging out of their pockets after pulling their phone or keys out, in fact I've probably told more people in the last few months than I have in the last 30 years. They are more slippy than Tony Blair, totally unsuitable for money.

I used one to buy a wallet and the problem was solved.

In other news I got a plastic Scottish five in my change today. That was exciting!

Can't say I've ever noticed it as a problem...... I tend not to have to use lube often.

Can't say I've suffered this problem. Surely a better problem to have than a paper note that tears easily and can't get wet?

Yes I have a wallet and so does he but because one of my pet hates is people who fk around when they are stood at the shop counter I tend to stuff my change into my pocket and clear off out of the way because I appreciate other people have important stuff to get on with. Its when you go back into your pocket 5 minutes later to get your car keys that the notes tend to slip out, must be a tramps paradise outside the doors to shops at the moment.

I like 'em.

You have to be careful though, because they can stick together when brand new.

I dont want compo I'll just be ultra careful in the future. IT was more of a moan about designers. On a day to day basis I fit different stuff and quite regularly I'm astounded by the sheer level of incompetence that goes into designing stuff, how do some of them keep their jobs. Take today we were fitting a new built in oven, the lifting handles in the sides of the case were too narrow to get your fingers in, what absolute balloon thought that was a good idea.

Personally I dont mind them at all.

Got some cash over the bank counter and the cashiers get in a real mess counting them out, they count them in front of you and make mistakes which didnt happen with the old money.

Also the cassettes of notes in the self pay supermarket tills are jamming with the notes.

No Bob Marley or donut jokes please.

I found a new fiver the other day, it was floating in a puddle.

It would have been ruined if it was a paper one, instead I put it towards a bottle of plonk thumbup

If it was paper it would still be in the rightful owners pocket, probably.

Can’t say I’ve noticed that this is a problem but will be keeping my eyes out for all of them flapping around as they slip out of people’s pockets. Not seen many yet.

I'm with you OP, ruddy things.

They don't fold as well as the old ones and stick together too easily.

I scrunch them up and then straighten them out again, makes them less slippy.

I need to pay some in to my bank account, and they are quite sticky, so I need to double check that I'm paying in the right amount.
Also, extra check the teller is counting them in correctly.

The tenner is a work of art. Almost too good to spend.

Lots of people are cutting their nose on the new notes.

I have not seen the new £10 note, mind you I have not touched cash for months, everything is paid on a debit card these days.
