Been thinking about getting one of these are they worth the money or is there a cheaper on just as good out there ? Basically be getting used for smoothies chucking in fruit , nuts , veggies, ice cubes. No doubt the girlfriend will use it fir making cocktails too .
I've used a Nutribullet and actually thought it was a bit crap (Poor chopping, kept getting bunged up etc..) I'm sure there are better ones out there. They are good at marketing, which is probably why you've heard of them before other / better ones.
I've had a Nutribullet & a Nutrinija & the ninja is much better:
- It has volume markings on the cup making it simple to measure ingredients or liquids
- The blades on the bullet are very close to the base so they are difficult to clean
- The thread on the top is on the inside on the ninja & the outside on the bullet which I found easier to drink from

I've been using a ninja to make smoothies everyday for nearly 3 years now. It has been absolutely faultless in that time. When I went on holiday to South Africa for 3 weeks I bought a cheaper one to use and it was rubbish, just not powerful enough to properly chop all the ingredients so my smoothies were more like 'lumpies'. So personally I wouldn't bother with a cheap one, stick to something more powerful
