The legalities of sharing a response to a group email
Discussion
Say you sent out an email to a group of people, and you got a controversial response from one member of that group who didn't do 'Reply All', ie he only sent it to the original writer of the email.
By 'controversial' I mean containing some pretty pithy stuff aimed at some of the others on the list. But the respondent hasn't seen fit to share those thoughts with the group.
Ethically/morally/legally, is the original writer within their rights to share that response with everyone on the list? Or would they first need permission from the single respondent?

This bod is talking about other people not doing what (in his opinion) he thinks they should. He has also mentioned litigation, which is why I am now unsure about sharing his email. However, nor do I want to be the single point of focus here. I'm just the bod raising an issue.
Him not 'Replying All' could be a genuine mistake, he's not a keyboard warrior, but if it isn't then it's a convenient position for him to be in.

I think I will ask him if he has any objection to me sharing it. That should produce an interesting and hopefully useful response.
He quite obviously doesn't want you to share it. Either tell him to make the point himself to the group, or make his point anonymously to the rest of the group (if it was your original intention to collate responses).AyBee said:
