Returned 2 items via DPD at my expense 7 days ago, parcel signed for 6 days ago yet it took me over an hour on chat today & insisting on being transferred to a supervisor to finally get them to agree to refund the £206!

Did everything they requested & more but they weren't having it.

Then there are the 3 items bought on Black Friday, the 24th, only 1 of which has arrived (after 5 days). They agreed to re send the missing 2 but hey, no stock so we have no idea when they'll arrive!!!

bds didn't even offer the normal 1 months Prime extension as a token gesture after wasting over an hour of my life rolleyes

Cool story etc etc, rant over!

Had a total of 7 free months Prime extension in total, it's been a while since they've really messed me around & only had problems with non refund on a return once before.

Use them only when they are cheap on something.

I sent a couple of items back via an amazon locker which they subsequently managed to lose and it took 2mths for them to agree to refund me (£180 overall) - I didn’t like amazon before and I avoid them at all costs now ... I’d rather pay more elsewhere than use them

Amazon are usually pretty good when delivering goods. However last month UPS have lost my two custom-made carbon fibre car seats, which is a bit rubbish; ten months to manufacture and they are now 'lost' somewhere in Feltham. Apparently, according to the investigation carried out by UPS (on behalf of the selling company), they found the seats and planned to deliver them to me yesterday. Guess what ... rolleyes

They seem to be having issues in the UK at the moment. I have been shopping with them for at least 15 years and the last year or so seen a massive down turn in quality of service.

I ordered an item on the 25th Nov that has still not arrived and was only actually sent out on Monday. I even paid £5 for delivery. (£100 item).

It was meant to arrive today, but failed to show. I assume tomorrow if I am lucky.

Had this a few times the last 12 months. I only use Amazon now if I cant find it anywhere else. In this case it was a £150 item and reduced to £100 and the next nearest cheapest was £130 so took the risk now I know why its so cheap...

Aaaaand I just logged in and checked and the item was delivered 15 mins ago and singed for by Mr straight line.

Which is a miracle as my place of business is closed from 5pm.... FFS.

Same here. I wonder how long it’ll take them to realise Prime is too expensive to guarantee, and force us all to Lockers/pickup points.

Had nothing but problems with them lately too. Next day prime items taking up to 4 days to arrive.

No surprise really they seem to use self employed people who use their own cars.

Keep thinking its time to cancel prime membership..

Amazon seem to suffer from the quality of the couriers they use. My most recent debacle was with Royal Mail.

Ordered a 5l container of concrete treatment from Amazon over a month ago. Sent with Parcel Force as a tracked package, showed as being in Peterborough mail centre for 4 weeks. Amazon declared it lost and sent me another via their own logistics. That arrived after 2 days. A week later a parcel arrives and it's the missing container, included is a letter explaining that it was opened to check if it was dangerous, found to be safe, repacked and sent on. Fair enough but could you not put details like that on your tracking website or tell people that when they ask you where their parcel is or when Amazon asks you where their parcel is? Plus how does it take 4 fking weeks to open a parcel, check it and send it on. How are these stpiles still in business?

One of the things that really irritates me about Amazon is that there’s no option to have an order that contains multiple items sent all at the same time.
Over the last week I’ve ordered 8 items, some running stuff, some bits for Christmas, a bottle of Whisky etc. The last 6 days in a row the local Amazon guy has been every day to deliver one thing.
It makes no odds to me financially, I get free delivery with Prime but it seems like a terrible waste of time and resources for them to send it this way when if there was the option to just wait a bit and have it all turn up at once you could choose that if you wished.

You can tick a box that says "Group My Items Into As Few Deliveries As Possible: Your order will be grouped into the fewest number of deliveries possible." But that doesn't guarantee you'll get everything in one go.

A much needed Amazon Locker was installed at my local mall 3 months ago, it's plugged in and has power to the display but is not searchable or selectable in my account.

Emailed Amazon about this and they say it's due to 'maintenance issues'.
Yeah right, pull the other one it has bells on it.

The two lockers closest to me have both been full for the last week. I've had to send everything to the RM office in town. They've been very useful until now but pointless if they're constantly full - although I'm beginning to wonder if it's a bug instead.

Amazon is the closest thing to a monopoly in online retailing but I think they're getting too big to cope with it all. They've almost made it too easy to buy online.

I think it's just the time of year. I've already started to notice RM slow down due to volume of deliveries so I'd expect Amazon would be the same in trying to get everything out.

Defo seen a massive slow down at work with the post in general.

Amazon take the mick though, 2 weeks for next day delivery (ok it was ordered on a weekend so should have arrived latest Tues or Weds last week) and to make matters worse their courier CBA.
