I have been getting loads of calls from edf which is now very annoying.

I don't know how to get the muppets to stop but now I am going to send a snotty e-mail to the CEO of edf everytime I am called by them and see how he likes it.

I block marketing as they arrive... Every now and again one of them leaves me a voicemail containing sweet FA. Tossers.

Any 3 year old in the family? Hand the phone to them and let them chat awhile!

I get this crap on both my mobile and home phone, the home phone is a bt call blocker job but when call memory is full it goes into weird fax mode and stops accepting calls, the memory gets full in a few days.

I will put a call blocker on the mobile but why does these muppets think their behaviour is acceptable?

Its a shame the iphone cant block phone numbers by area code.

If i blocked all london and manchester phone numbers, my phone would ring 50% less.

I get several sales calls a day at work and it pisses me off.

I'm registered with TPS but it does nothing to stop them because they all the calls seem to come from overseas.

I now seem to get more and more on my mobile in the evenings as well now.

I simply hang up on them the second I realise it's a nuisance call. I don't even bother speaking.

Anyone know how to remedy this situation, easily?
Moved house 9 moths ago, previous owner took his landline number with him, so we were allocated another number.
Trouble is the number we were allocated was the number for a business, no longer trading AFAIK.
This number is plastered all over the web, the number was already registered with the TPS, but we still get a couple of calls a day.
How do I go about removing the phone number from all the websites where it appears?

1. Agree a 'code' for family and close friends (let it ring twice, then call again - or similar)

2. If it's the majority of calls let them go to answerphone

3. Answer the phone and don't say anything, just leave the line open

Speak to phone company. Explain problem. Get a new number... 👍

Put the call on loudspeaker and then leave the handset in close proximity to a smartphone with Siri (or whatever) activated.
