Being happy. Sounds trite but as you get older you realise that all of the material crap that used to seem to important isn't really.
So I guess in terms of goals, it's being financially secure which removes a lot of worry and offers a lot of freedom.
That's more important to me than the big house and Ferrari.

As much of a cliche as it sounds, my goals all changed when by son was born last year. It's gone from wanting a nice car / house / boat, to making sure my family is well looked after, now and in the future, and my kids can make the most of any opportunities they receive. So I guess in terms of goals, it's being financially secure which removes a lot of worry and offers a lot of freedom.

Oh, and a Ferrari, I really want a Ferrari.
I don't really have any tbh, i tend to focus on being happy in the moment. Don't tend to plan life any further than a year in advance (even then, i'm talking booking holidays!).
I guess i'd like kids at some stage, and it would be nice to actually buy a house...although I doubt that's going to happen before my 40s.

Getting the 3 kids through Uni... the first one heads off in 2.5 years..... and as they are all 3 years apart, the next 9 years of forking out a small fortune has any grand expenditure plans out the window...
After that, buy a Winnebago and go travel the world.. literally, jump in and head off into the wild unknown...

I have a nice house and a supercar but as someone else said as you get older it's much more important to just be happy. In my view someone who has very little but is content is in a better place than someone with a whole lot and a pile of stress.
Stay healthy, spend time with those you love, enjoy your work and be glad you woke up this morning!

At 18 it was buy a house in the place i grew up (house prices went mental there so when dad had to sell i didn't think i'd ever get back there). Drive a Porsche and work for myself.
At 38 i was hit by a pretty decent dose of depression even though i'd accomplished all 3. It made me realise that unless your happy you won't elicit any value from any of them.
A year later my life goals are making sure i'm around to see my kids grow up and expanding my property portfolio to a point where they have something to inherit.
When i changed that mind set i accomplished more this year than i ever have before and enjoyed it far more too.
