When was your last visit to the dog house, how long for and what was your crime ? the dog house for those who dont know is basically being in your other halfs bad books for some kind of transgression.

I know a lot will claim to do what they please on here and their other half just doesnt react, but every relationship has its limits.

I may have got into an "advanced state of refreshment" yesterday with my mate (who will be along soon) we went to Manchester, something we do occasionally, a day off and then go into town all the time trying to distract ourselves from the inevitable, which is too much booze in a selection of Manchesters traditional boozers.

Anyway, got a bking this morning, definitely in the dog house.

I've never understood why women get angry at blokes getting drunk?

If you miss an important family gathering or similar the next day, fair one, but otherwise why care!?

I pissed her off by texting my ex to ask if I could see my daughter, the GF locked me out and told me to sleep in the shed.

In her defence I texted my ex 4 months previously while drunk I loved her but I think the shed thing was a tad excessive.

Getting drunk with a friend is a very low limit, in fairness.

Key word is again, and I was pretty hammered, not an alcy or anything, its just when we go out we get a bit carried away..

Its only a minor infraction really, am sure there are plenty of better ones.

My wife has an issue with me being drunk, she is all "oh so and so (one of her friends) got so drunk, it was hilarious", however if I get totally wrecked, she goes mental and never lets me forget it.

It doesn't help that she isn't a massive drinker and knows when to stop.

However I'm never really in the dog house, the last time was when I was totally pissed but you are talking 10 odd years ago, I must admit I was ruined, she had to send her brother to find me and I was deposited at my dads.

I'm glad your girlfriend supports your career choice, it's not always easy getting them to be so accepting i imagine.....

To all the chaps who have never been in the doghouse, don't worry your time will come; every occasion, every word you said, everything you did is being carefully filed to be dragged up from the depths of your partner's memory as ammo for the divorce!

I am a regular visitor to the dog house. The one I am booked into is situated on Sulk Street and I am usually there for a couple of days.

My last visit was last week. Ramsey Bolton (our 14 month old) has a fascination with cars and (specifically) wheels. He is obsessed with the latter. If he sees something with a wheel he focuses in on it like a terminator.

I had him for the afternoon whilst Mrs. B.J.W was out doing stuff. The boy had a lot of presents for his 1st Birthday, which we thought best to introduce to him on a gradual basis. I spied a JCB digger in this present pile which had big wheels on it - just the thing to keep the little man occupied for 1/2 hour or so. I removed the packaging and presented the JCB to my son. He was over the moon and immediately set about turning it upside down and playing with the wheels.

My wife got back home. Upon walking into the living room she saw him playing with the JCB...... and hit the roof. Apparently, the JCB was her Christmas present to our son. Having not been advised of this I was none the wiser, but this was not an excuse (apparently). Anyway, for this transgression I was immediately shipped to the dog house where I remained for the customary 48 hours.

If I sense the door of the dog house is opening (which is rare) I preempt with some discussion about we've been together 20yrs, not kids in a playground just tell me what's up.

Whatever it is I'll appolgise, make some joke about me being a stupid bloke, change the subject and all's good.

Bravo

I got in a marginal doghouse last week for doing something bad to her in a dream.....it's a dream FFS! She did realise how ridiculous it was after a while though.

Other than that the last one was getting in at ~5am steaming drunk after saying I was going to be home at ~11pm, had no signal in the club and time flied.....it was Heaven so not exactly a strip club or anything.

Last major time was for going to a "strip club" on a stag do and not telling her, in my defence this place (in york) was both a dive and basically just a normal pub but with the strippers working from the back/another area of it.....as far as I was concerned, given I only stayed in the front area it was just a pub I'd been to!

Lied to my girlfriend about seeing my ex-wife (said I'd only texted her when in reality I'd met up with her in town for a cup of tea that morning - all very above board i might add)

The fking wheels came off than night when she found out. Her reason? She didn't give a st about me meeting the ex but she gave a massive st about me lying to her face about it. And so she should.

I thought it was over that night and the next day, but after a few days I was off the hook.

Won't be fibbing again though. Just not worth it

Yeah, I've been in the st for something I did in *her* dream before...

"Lads night and a curry" tonight, I'm expecting I'll do something stupid at some point in the evening and I'll be in the st for it tomorrow. Hey ho...

Mine isnt keen on the whole lapdancing thing (me attending them) and to be honest I have grown out of them and find it all a bit grim these days, not that I was a regular visitor, I did feel aggrieved when I was awarded Dog House time for going to one, on her bloody brothers Stag Do, not sure what I was meant to do when her brother, her two other brothers and assorted mates were all in there, was I meant to stand outside, like this ?

Have had the dream thing as well, apparently it is admissible as it means it is a manifestation of some other atrocity I have committed.

Mine was last summer, when I bought an XJ8 for a laugh for my parents ruby wedding anniversary.

It got worse when it stranded my parents on the A7 near Lyon in September and I'm still in the doghouse now even though I sold it back in February, and she has since bought a brand new Cooper S convertible as revenge.

If she finds out how much I really paid for a replacement autobox for the Jag I will be there forever!

As per the poster above, I got the massive cold shoulder for getting off with someone in a dream she had. That was hard to explain my way out of as she had caught us red handed!
