Have you seen Fake Taxi? Not a good earner, but maybe worth trying for a couple of days per week. hehe

Do black cab drivers particularly those with broken English actually have driving licences.

I swear the ones in Coventry got them out of a cracker.

hackney or private hire? I did a bit of private hire in Glasgow back in the early 90s. Hilariously funny on occasion.

strange one, they seem to have no concept of self preservation and are determined to expand at all costs, and to hell with the negative press and poor quality.

couple of our guys work with uber part time and seem to really enjoy it, as have I on the rare occasion I've done a bit with them registered when they launched in Glasgow 2 and a bit years ago and have managed an average of 3 jobs a week for them over that time

0.0miles, Grand central hotel to Central station, the station was closer than the car, minimum charge of £25 applied

black cab drivers up here are generally of a decent standard and long timers in the trade some of the new drivers coming in with the rise of uber are downright scary

used to take a booking then sit gassing for 5 minutes or stop for fuel or coffee on the way,

none these days GPS tracking and the fact its my own business means I care too much

A genuine question that often gets my curiosity going, attempted to word this without suggesting taxi drivers are dim.
I've noticed in heavy rain, fog, dusk any time really with poor visibility, taxis are always the only cars to not have lights on, is this taxi drivers trying to save bulb life and only putting lights on at night time or something else?
