At the end of the day, if he doesn't want to sell then you can't force him. Ebay don't make it easy to put reserves on things so people don't.

need a bit more context:

what is it?

how big is it?

how much off market do you think you've got it for?

but, as per the above - if he don't wanna sell - he ain't gonna sell...

I've got my garage on the 'bay at the mo - on the basis that if i get a good bidder he'll take it down and take it away and save me a few quid.

i fully realise that this is probably a one in three shot....

Friends did that with a conservatory, builder said £300 to dismantle and take it away so they'd have been happy to get 99p on ebay, someone paid about £200!

For things like that you should be able to start the bidding at -£300 smile

Slightly off topic, but they don't seem to be worth much!!!

I have one Identical to this and I thought it was worth a bit but evidently not...

Ebay is crap, i recently sold a iphone 5s for spares/repair listed with no returns accepted as its faulty, a week after delivery the buyer who admits to taking it apart wants to return it as he reckons 'it doesnt seem legit!' buyer opened a case with ebay and 15mins later they sided with him

Doesn’t eBay waffle on about “you are entering a legal agreement” blah blah?

Or is that just tosh?

Private seller?

Forget eBay for private personal sales IMHO.

Gumtree, Facebook, forum sales for me.

Cash on collection as only acceptable payment. No comebacks.

You might get slight lower sale price but you get no hassle and pay no fees.

yes private seller! was £49.50 inc postage ebay have instructed him to return it, i emptied my paypal and deleted my card from it before the case was opened as I had a feeling it would go Pete Tong, his feedback states he sold a 5s which had parts replaced and posted it out 3 days after receiving mine, obvious what he has done

paypal will issue a debt collector if you did remove your details and they charge-back, they don't mess about

They will pursue you if they feel that way inclined. You can run but you can’t hide !

I'd offer you mine, however I'm probably too far away (Leeds) to make it viable for you.

Mine has been in the family for about 80 years or so - it came form South Africa.

I even have the original (rather crude) lock and key for it.

When you get it back raise a case against the buyer.

Hate to say it, but I've done same as your seller a couple of times. One example I was selling a caravan awning. Two years old perfect condition and worth £200 at least. Trying to list it on ebay and they really didn't want me to set a reserve of that amount and actually changed my listing to £50. I wasn't happy but thought ho hum etc I can always cancel the sale an hour before close. But I couldn't, you can't cancel within 24 or 48hrs and it sold for £80. No way was I going to let it go for that so just ignored seller and ebay. In the end they gave up and I relisted it a month later and got £185 for it.

So just think about what it's really worth
