Ok this thread is for disasters that have beset you as you tried to get a Christmas present for some one or for presents received that have been a disaster for any reason of your choice.

I'll start off: I've just noticed I had an Amazon refund email for part of my wife's Christmas present, just as I've went to wrap her presents this evening. It wouldn't ordinarily be a problem, but I've been arsing about for a few days secure in the knowledge I hadn't left it to the last minute and now it's going to look as if I don't care; and any excuse is going to be pretty lame as I should have wrapped her presents sooner.

Wonder where I can get a sports shop open on a Sunday Christmas Eve night paperbag Is anyone going to confess to a worse messup than me?

Just tell her you skipped a step and it saves her from having to return it smile

I just took the little one to help wrap mummy's presents. Most are all supposed to be from santa and in different wrapping paper though.

So had to put mine from santa into her stocking else it would be empty as little one has seen them all now.

What tangled webs we weave....

I fear I have made the mistake of actually sticking to our suggested budget...
My presents for her are now representing around 10% of what’s under the tree.

Could be interesting tomorrow..

The oh has been quite smug about how organised she has been this year.
Gave her her card. A look of guilt washed over her face.
“With all the rushing around I didn’t get you one”
Bonus point are in the bank.

I got my wife nothing. We agreed we weren’t going to get anything...so I haven’t got anything!

Could be interesting in the morning...but it’ll be her own bloody fault if she’s upset!

hehe
Did make me chuckle.

The only story I've got is only a pretty minor one in that I ordered a pair of gloves for Mrs. Kinky, an Ugg pair. Got an email on Friday evening saying that due to an operational challenge with our warehouse they won't be delivered in time for Christmas. But I can have a 25% discount on my next order.

Fortunately I had a plan B.

I buy MRS400s main present, Step daughter buys all the tat, perfumes, jewellery that type of st.

"of course ive been out and bought the lot"

only one year, step daughter got one part and told me the other part needed collecting, yup I forgot cue chrismas eve the realisation hit.

Master plan hide the 1st half of present and "forget" to get it out on the big day, arrival of second part comes and then "typical man face of ooooh I forgot this one my dear"

She looks at you like your a lying st bag, but she knows your her lying st bag and there for is still happy.

We played that one last year. I stuck to the plan, she didn’t. It’s an awkward feeling - welcome to the gang biggrin

Not a disaster but I bought a load of steak etc for a buddy of mine from an online butchers. Was due to be delivered on Saturday but Parcelforce have buggered it up and there's now no way it's going to be delivered until Wednesday earliest. They say their packaging will keep it fresh for up to 36 hours so my mate's going to get a box of rotten meat for a (late!) Christmas present - that'll be pleasant when it gets there!

I'm assuming the butchers will send a fresh pack out but I feel for them a bit having to try to claim back from Parcelforce!

So, this morning when we got up we had our presents that were under our Christmas (palm) tree from our buddies.

We then went for a Christmas morning walk on the beach that was very pleasant.

Whilst showering, I did however spot a hidden present...will be interesting to see who it’s ultimately for...
