What does everyone have planned for next year then?

I don't go in for "resolutions" but like to set myself a few goals to achieve, thinking so far:-

1. Row 2k in under 7 min (haven't done this for several years)
2. Revalidate my judo coaching certificates
3. Do the 42 mile cross Wales walk for charity (did a 33 miler last year and raised nearly £500)
4. Get a decent payrise or move jobs
5. Donate as much blood as possible, think it's every 12 weeks

Nothing on the car front although 4 may change that!

One of the houses should sell (February completion expected) and then life can start properly again after 3 years of expensive separation from the ex-missus. We will ill spoil ourselves a bit this year from the proceeds, a reasonable boat for me and a Mercedes SLC for the girlfriend, the rest tucked away somewhere not too risky.

Will change my job early in the year. When the other house is sold, will look at the pot and decide whether to go for partial early retirement. Holiday will be Menorca this year to start looking at retirement villa potential.

2018 should be a good year if everyone can stay healthy. Good luck to everyone else on here.

I think I'll probably move house next year as I'm starting to get fed up of where I am now. It was only supposed to be temporary but that was almost a decade ago!
Thing is, I've no idea where I'd like to live in the near future.

Sell the house and down size is priority one, it was meant to be a family home for me and the now ex partner, the forever home and all that rubbish. I'm living here on my own now and I can't be arsed with the billls draining my financial resources at the rate they are, so it has to go!

I will be buying a mountain bike in the coming weeks and getting back in the saddle (ooo err), I haven't been biking for a good few years so that's something to look forward to, I have put a few pounds on since the break up (beer and takeaways) so I want to up my exercise routine and get rid of that

A happy and prosperous new year to you all beer

Drop 10kg and see if I can get fitter again. Start of this year I was climbing Snowdon almost every week then just stopped.
New car
Work on getting some courses done and have a look at what's out there career wise. Don't want to get stuck in the same routine and need to start with some form of direction now.
Work on saving for my first house. Lots do things in different orders but I was 29 last week and feel time is running out.

Getting myself in order for 2018 been slowly over last 2 months getting my new kit car build built for racing next year. Got my nat b race license just before Christmas so added push to finish the build and get some testing in before first rd.
After that is actually competing in my first year of club racing with the 750mc and hopefully trying to beat the class leader who I've known for a while.
After 10 years of basically doing the same job going to start pushing on going self employed at same time of being employed and slowly build the business up. Maybe after all that find someone to have a relationship with as that has been on dry side for a while.

As many have said, drop a bit of weight and run a mile in less than 6 minutes (hard when you have short legs).

Spend more time with my elderly parents.

Try to let go of the past.

Get the divorce finished, with the house all sorted into my sole name and then get life back on track.

Buy a car project to build in the garage and get my mojo back. I need to start building something.

Stay sober, over a year dry now.

Be more selfish to do what I want to do. Fed up of things I can control making me unhappy even if that means less cash in my pocket and some people getting upset.

That starts with handing in my notice on 8th January cool
