What does it mean to "care about" somebody? Who do you care about and why? How many people do you care about and why do you care about them?

Also, I slightly unrelated, and but do you actually care about those who you say "take care" to on parting? If you
say it, who to and why? Do you actually care about those you say it to?

I'm not sure. Maybe a link to a website about dating or something might help me decide? I feel something in the pipeline here.....

Interesting one, everyone is different I guess

For me it really hit home when my girlfriend (now wife) got cancer

I simply couldn't imagine what it would be like without her

Not ashamed to admit I cried several times whilst alone out of the blue thinking about the consequences

If I were to be employed as a Caretaker would this help with your query?

"Who cares"?
There have been a few times where I have "Cared" and helped or not. One I am ashamed of. The lady in question was distraught that she couldn't find her child. I was on a busy road and didn't stop, I should have.

When staying in Bristol for a course I crossed the road so I didn't encounter a Big Issue seller. I went back the next two weeks and apologised to him. He was Ok about it. we smoked a few of my fags and I got to know him, a bit. Gave him a tenner over the next few time I stayed in the area.

Used to go to Doncaster Station on my way back from London. Got to know another Big issue seller and what he had to do to make a living. We smoked my fags and I gave him a tenner every time I saw him. Probably once a month over 12 months.

On one of my trips coming back from Bristol I stopped of at a service station to make a call. Young lady in tears told me she had run out of petrol and could I lend her 20 quid. I actually gave her 30 quid. Never checked the mobile number she gave me. When I checked the next day it wasn't valid. Called the police and reported it the next day. Was told I was a fool but it was great to see that someone was at least a decent bloke. Would I do it again? Yes, with a bit more caution.

to answer the question ""What does it mean to "care about" somebody?"

I believe it is the ability to recognise that, on little or no knowledge, that some one needs your help/assistance.

If the OP means care/love don't know. Well I do know about "Love" but that would take eons to explain if at all!!

Wasn't there a whole raft of these sort of threads posted towards the end of last year before the mods eventually locked the account in question out.

Edit - yep, thought it was similar - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?me...

As a child of the 80's growing up with 2 brothers and an emotionally detached father and now a failed marriage (courtesy of the monkey principle) I find it difficult to care about anything at all. I think Spok may feel more emotion than I do hehe ...... with the exception of what my son means to me.

When a girl tells a guy she "cares" for him, it means he's been friend zoned and he won't get a bang.
