I'm sure that at least 90% of the instances of this word appearing on Pistonheads, the spelling is all sh*tted up. Please stop. It's actually causing me a great deal of distress and anguish now.

Thanks in advance.

Can’t you just use the spelling thread where the rest of you self righteous bellends hang out?

This particular spelling transgression is so bad that we really ought to all be concerned about it.

Why are you focusing on this pacific word?

The only reason I've made a thread just for 'rediculous' is because it's everywhere, to the point where I'm actually surprised when I see someone write 'ridiculous'.

Sadly I think that this isn't going to end well for you.
All those that can't spell will respond by calling you a 'looser'.
None of them are ever able to explain why they persist in spelling the same words and expressions wrongly.
There are a particular few that get used (and corrected) repeatedly on here: loose, breaks, could of, should of, rediculous etc.
There sadly is no point highlighting this as the bad spellers know that they are but wear it as a badge of pride and have no interest in changing.

Ah yes, the illiterati. Perhaps they think it's a secret club and not at all like walking round with 'Stupid' written on their foreheads.

A gallant effort but you may as well spend your time orbiting a MLM or convince a Brexit voter the error of their ways.

I'm afraid that single handedly, you are unlikely to save the English language.

I judge forum posters on their spelling and grammar, gives me an inkling on what they are likely to be like in 'real life' and how seriously I should view their opinion. I'm not saying I'm right, it's just what I do.
I'm quite happy to see a post containing the word 'rediculous', it gives me a little more insight into the poster.
