So signed up for Virgin through a rep who said he could match a deal and a little bit more

That was back in November.

First bill came out and its for 2.5mths but with no £100 credit (I signed on the contract) in sight.

So I text him, called him. Sorry ive left Virgin, surprise surprise. Gave me his boss's number, doesn't work, chased again, he confirmed he can get hold of him on the same number....BS BS.

Trouble is I called Virgin and they have a different system to these scumbags so cant see the contract etc.

What makes it worse, I cant find the paperwork I signed...I save everything and heavens knows where this is.

Has anyone been in the same position?

Anyone have any advice and yes I know I should have the paperwork as proof but ive looked everywhere

Never quite in the same situation but I really dislike Virgin for their pricing / discounts etc (even though with them for 10 years!)

They are always very convoluted in what they offer and how it appears on the bill etc!

Hope you find the paperwork and get it sorted!

I was with them for about 8 years, then when they hiked the price up monthly....I jumped ship on a decent Sky deal for 12mths. Then that ran out and they bit me with a shocking deal, so I jumped back to Virgin mainly for the BT Sport - UFC Fan and the better broadband....now been bitten again.

I will blitz them on every social platform now.

Terrible ISP; still on ipv4 and their superhub 3 has the Intel PUMA chipset with the high latency issue.

Yes,I was promised 3 months free movies by the rep but VM subsequently said he shouldn't have given me that,it wasn't going to happen but instead gave me £5 per month off for a year.......which is a month in arrears on the bill.
They have a terribly confusing billing system, done deliberately I reckon

We got a deal advertised on hotukdeals. Bill turned quite different to what we signed up for. They denied they ever offered that deal, it took ages to sort even after sending screen shots. Even then the way the broke the contract down i think we still got swindled.

Was the chap a MLM (Multi Level Marketer) by any chance?

I know of a guy I went to school with, his Instagram and Facebook is full of this "Are you paying too much for your phone bill? Talk to me I can save you £££'s". The idea being he gets comission from you taking the contract out with Virgin. So they'll have paid him for your business.

Been with them over 10 years. Sick of them.

-Constant broadband outages, sometimes lasting days at a time. Wife works from home so it can cause serious issues. It's down at present. Local area fault, it always is.

-Tivo box that has become so slow to use that we've more or less stopped using it. New version available if I want to pay even more and commit for another 12 months. F*** that.

-Crap call centers who can only follow a script.

-Paying for a landline phone I have no use for, or more accurately, not being able to specify a deal that saves me money by not having things I don't want. I realise, this isn't just a VM thing but since they don't rely on a phoneline, why the fuddering juck should I have to pay for a hardwired phone service? It's 2018!

-Constant bill creep

-If I want anything sorted, I have to threaten to leave and foolishly I never end up doing so.

Anyway, no more. Eyeing up the alternatives, though from reading around Sky and BT aren't exactly looking like shining beacons of customer service either.

I'm tempting fate here, but I'm in my 3rd year with BT and their Infinity internet, and I've had no such problems with them. The only time I've spoken to their customer service is when the contract is ending and I threaten to leave if they don't cut the price of the bill.

But, a caveat to this, I don't use their Homehub.

Plusnet fibre + Amazon / Netflix / similar. Add-in a PVR (or YouView box, although the remote is shockingly bad) and all you'll lose vs Sky/Virgin is some of the sport coverage. For a whopping great saving (B'band + phone + Amazon + Netflix comes to +/-£30 per mth)

...and I'm pretty sure you can add the BT Sport channels onto YouView.

Edit: PVR! Cars on the brain...

If Plusnet did fibre in my street, I'd have done this years ago frown
