The Bayeux Tapestry may be coming to the UK.

Could anybody actually care less?

Any more information than a single sentence?

I saw it a long time ago - most people don't realise how big it is and how small a part the "famous" bits like the arrow in the eye and Halley's comet are.

Theresa May announces that the UK might get the Tapestry on loan, but not until 2022 at the earliest.

Those opposed to Brexit will abstain because they hate the idea of weave.

Well it's one in the eye for all those who think the Entente Cordiale is over.

Those interested in art or history. Then again, intelligent people so afraid of "furrengers" that they'll refuse to travel to France.

Sarcasm aside, this is more for school trips. Making it easier to expose British kids to history that they might not see otherwise.

Although I cant wait for the anti-education brigade to show up and demand to know why kids need to learn about something as irrelevant as history when they should just be sent to the chimneys with a broom.

.
There's a full replica in a museum in Reading - so anyone who wants to see it doesn't even need to visit stinky Europe.

It was copied faithfully in 1885 by Victorian skilled embroiderers.

Only one horse power, and not due until 1350?

Seen it before not worth a second viewing. Im more interested in who is doing the shipment and what the insurance policy would cover in the event of damage.

ThIs is political collateral to make the UK pay more towards border control in Calais. Control the French don’t want to be successful because they would be keeping the problem in France.
