Best vintage toy dealers/auctions?

Evening all,
Having decided to have a brutal clearout at home, my mother would like to get rid of her original 1970s Paddington bear. He's a mint condition early example and we're both quite attached to him, so I don't want to just stick him on ebay amongst all the tatty and reproduction examples. I want him to go to a proper toy collector who'll appreciate and look after him, so I've been doing a bit of research and there's a bewildering array of toy auctioneers. Has anyone ever had a toy valued and/or consigned it to auction before, and if so can anyone please offer any recommendations or advice? Ta!
