Hey all,

I wear my wellies every day not only dog walks but also working out in the woods etc, so probably 3 hours a day on average.

I’ve tried cheap Dunlop’s, they lasted 5 mins, I’ve tried £200 hunter balmorals, and they have just broken too (soles have come away) , so I don’t care about the brand, nor the image, just want a pair that will last.

The daily beaters of wellies.

The requirements are simple:

1. Bomb proof

2. Comfy

3. Grippy mud sole

That’s about it.

I don’t care if it’s a £20 set I’ve never heard of, or a £200 set that will genuinely last or come with a decent warranty!

Thanks guys.

I have these.

My farmer friends tell me that they do wear out, but the pricing is such that you just buy another pair.

Dunlop purofort thermo+. Best money I have spent on footwear for everyday workwear/dog walking. I found ordering a size smaller for a better fit, but that may only be me. Few friends have ordered normal size and more than happy.

Get pair of Bogs. Bomb proof, grippy and very comfy.

Someone will be along in a minute to say Muck boots - every dog walker in our village has moved on from these once they discovered Bogs.

After years of wearing cheap wellies and having feet problems I got a pair of Aigle which have been great.

Usually find them on eBay for about £40.

If you want proper wellies, but which are suitable for long walks, Aigle is the way to go.

Try something like the Aigle Parcours 2.

Had mine for 6 or 7 now and to be frank, once washed off with the hose, they look brand new!

Another vote for Aigle with neoprene inners (can’t remember the model).

I’ve avoided wellies for decades as I hated them with a vengeance but these have opened my eyes in the last couple of years.

Warm dry feet sorted for walking the dog..✅

Another vote for Aigle Parcours. Kept my feet warm through several winters with no sign of wear.

Another Aigle fan here, Parcours 2 Iso in my case. Comfortable, warm and great quality. Decathlon sell them for £120.

Aigle parcours 2 get my vote. Mine are 2 years old and I walk 2-4h most days in them through the winter, they aren't showing any real signs of wear. I didn't get the neoprene lined ones and don't get cold. They come up quite big for the size.

Had Hunters for years and was bought a pair of Aigle Parcours for a birthday. They are so much better! Get a pair and you'll which you had years ago.

Oh they are the neoprene lined ones.

Dunlop "safety" wellies with steel toes. Mine have got to be ten years old, on and off building sites constantly, covered in concrete, tarmac, clay, you name it, anything up to ten hours a day - harder work than any domestic uses could ever challenge. A decent pair of insoles (more for my flat feet than any failing with the wellies l) and woolen socks and they are all the boots I need. Still waterproof, soles are wearing out but I'd have another set in an instant. And iirc about £35. Bargain.
