There’s no excuse to forget though is there.

It’s been in the papers, tv, shops, florists, etc... since Christmas - laziness is no reason!

She has never got me so much as a valentines card or christmas card so this year I didn’t bother.

Guess what... she got me a bloody card.

I'm curious. Why are you in a relationship with a women who can't be bothered to even get you a Christmas card?

Is your relationship defined by getting a Christmas card? I find that more odd. I can't recall ever sending a partner a christmas card!

I'm in her good books for the day with a £5 potted plant and a £1.50 card smile

I'm in the same boat. I send Christmas cards to people I never speak to these days. wink

That is what you think until she finds out what her friends partners have got them wink

Seriously though I find it easier to forget thanks to the over long run in to it. It just seems to have been going on for ever. FFS i have bought 2 cards in that time and struggled to find one of them last night!

I'm happy anyway, nice card and some uber good coffee.

She's had her card but will have to wait until tonight for her gift.

Lots of parking bays in Tesco this morning at 7 very busy, cars internal lights on with blokes scribbling away on cards.

One guy at the checkout with a 15 kilo bag of dog mixer and a single red rose laugh

Same here, wife and I agreed no Christmas cards, Valentines day cards etc a few years back. Only exception is birthdays.

Didn't get her a gift of any kind today either, nor her for me.

Works for us but everyone is different.

I honestly couldn't give a ste. She knows what I'm like and wouldn't expect anything or any mention of it anyway.
In the first few years I would make some great gestures. I filled her car up once, just 95 Ron, let's not go over the top.
Nowadays I don't bother. I keep my bank account nice and full instead.

Every time I see or hear blokes 'engaging' with their women, I just think to myself, soft .

I'm a catch. I know.

No, as I was out the door very early this morning we exchanged gifts, cards etc... last night instead

I completely get all couples are different and that you should express yourself everyday and not save it just for Feb-14th but personally I believe that the giving of a card with a few words of emotion and feeling goes a long way
