Weird things people do in shops!
Discussion
I was talking today to someone who's fiance works in TK Maxx. The subject moved to the strange things people do in shops - it was an eye opener!
Apparently they quite regularly discover that a changing room has been used as a toilet, and not just for a piss either! They also discovered a turd in a handbag on display once - someone must have taken it into a changing room, curled one out into it and put it back!
They also had a couple of guys acting suspiciously next to the shoes. They ejecting the the two men and then examined the shoes, only to find a couple of them stuffed with drugs - they were obviously picking up a drop. Odd way of doing it.
The general public (or at least some elements of) never ceases to amaze me.

I have to witness any sort of dirty protest thankfully, but when I worked in Tesco as a kid we did used to have to deal with the sad cases who shoplifted, just to be caught, It was a really weird cry for help. Usually male, usually middle-aged, usually fairly wealthy too.
The daft thing was they gave them loads of chances to get out of it, they hadn't even technically committed an offence if they didn't leave the shop, but, even though they'd have cash on them - they'd refuse to pay for the couple of pence worth of food or whatever, we'd say "did you forget to pay for blah blah blah" and they'd start sobbing about wanting to be caught, in the end the boss would have to say "look, just say you forgot and we'll forget about it" but they'd insist they meant to nick it - the Police would have to come, assume they'd get a caution, but maybe a few ended up with a criminal record for steeling crisps at 46.

This is why we shouldn't bring back national service... rather we should make everyone work for 2 years in retail so they realise what a bunch of whiny, arrogant, self-entitled, filthy bar stewards the general public is.There was once a young lady who shouted at a McDonalds employee because someone behind her rightfully beeped when she didn't move up. It wasn't until I (2 cars down) went up and told her the poor teen who works at Maccas for £6 an hour wasn't the therapist she sorely needed (and I could see that there was no-one ahead of her when she was beeped). Poor guy didn't deserve that and I still cant fathom what she expected them to do, not serve a paying customer?
I've got nothing but patience and sympathy for retail workers. It doesn't help that most stores are understaffed, so I understand if there isn't someone to help at my beck and call (usually its pretty good though).
Yes, I went to McDonalds... I know, off to the council thread with me

Someone taking a dump in a handbag is pretty disturbing... Defo not going near a TK Maxx changing room! Changing rooms are a magnet for drug users - especially through the winter months. They are absolutely vile, and will do the following things upon being caught:
1. Dirty Protest
2. Flick bodily fluids at you / around the cubicle
3. Try and attack you / throw sharps around
4. Generally foul behaviour
5. Generally verbally and physically threatening / abusive
Regular occurrence to have changing rooms out of action while waiting for deep clean guys.

You don't see it so often these days but you can see the one armed dance in TK Maxx and or Asda.
Where some irate mother has picked up their child by 1 arm and is dragging them through the store, occasionally peppered with expletives and promises of a good hiding.
I initially thought that was a euphemism for having a wWhere some irate mother has picked up their child by 1 arm and is dragging them through the store, occasionally peppered with expletives and promises of a good hiding.
