Any coin collectors?!

i'm so bored at work

ive been looking at a link a mate sent me about new 10p's

does anyone here collect coins, i tried to get all the old 1 pound coins but missed 1.

also keep the US state quarters whenever i notice them in my change when im overt here.

I fancy a set of the new 10p coins. There’s not many and with all the publicity around Kew Gardens 50ps I’m sure they’ll all be lit away and collected!

I tend to stash 50s and £2’s when I get them in my change

i had a couple of them. i put them aside but i think my then GF mistakenly spent them. i was very annoyed that i couldnt find them after the revelations about how much they were worth. and that i couldnt start a 50p collection!

Have loads of modern stuff, 50p, £2, Olympic 50p, a few minting errors

Also have Beatrix potter 50p bunc and silver proof, silver £20 coins as well

Have a load of other silver coins, some ordinary, some different.

Just been thinking about offloading a load though - although the thought of EBay may put me off

Hahahaha ! No - I guess it's just my thought process when I think about or see the coins.

They're all sat either in the safe or on the top shelf in the study never seeing the light of day

I quite enjoy looking for the unusual stuff - not found an undated 20p yet though.

I collect the different 50p's that I see although I don't go out of my way to find them. think I have about 45 different ones ATM. Anyone know how many different ones there are?

Mrs9 wanted the 4x Beatrix Potter, painted, silver 50p pieces they released recently... That £2-worth only set me back £240 or something!

To be fair though; they are kind of cool and ultimately they're for passing to Jnr9s.

Not really a collector but I work in a shop with a till so tend to keep a eye out for any coins I know are collectors items, got a undated 20p and a few Kew Gardens 50p’s.

Just before the new £1 coins came out I found a brand new looking 1985 £1 coin too which I kept hold of.

Certainly not a dedicated collector, but I am fond of holding back stuff that looks rare.

I also bought a few oddballs like Lundy puffin coins but overall I find the hard core coin collecting world a bit weird.
