Vodafone payg big bundle query
Discussion
Hope someone can tell me where I'm going wrong
I have an old Nokia phone that I use for business and the battery life is good, also a 2nd mobile phone ( vodafone payg smartphone) bought last year to use when away - battery life poor but can be charged in the car. The problem lies with the 2nd mobile phone.
I'm away from home so I bought a £5 top up voucher to use with the 2nd mobile phone and chose the Big Bundle option of 100 mins of phone calls, unlimited text and some data for the next 30 days. So far, so good. I then use the phone for approx 20 mins - when I'm then cut off and told no credit left. I do a check and I've no mins/text or data.
In effect, my 20 minute phone call had just cost me £5 . Now I'm sure I double checked that the big bundle option had been activated - but is there a 24 hour delay or something before it kicks in? I have sent a complaint to Vodafone already.
I'm trying to understand what I might have done wrong. This isn't the first time I've had a problem with the phone - last time I bought a £10 top up voucher for it, thinking I had so many free minutes etc. the phone call cost me £6, I then bought another £5 voucher to get the £5 big bundle deal, which then took all my remaining credit just by browsing PH for 30 mins.
Can anyone tell me how to make these Vodafone big bundles work and where I'm going wrong?
Thanks

An update - I lodged a complaint straight away with Vodafone via their contact page and have just been rung by an Indian chap who has reinstated my £5 credit and it appears that it takes a minimum of an hour for the big bundle credit to be issued - which is probably where I've been going wrong. I thought it would be instantaneous.
