Completely random, as I’m away in a hotel and had to change my normal number biggrin

So how many pillows do you use ?

More than three, but that is counting several cushions my wife adds for decoration. I have two normal pillows, and usually chuck all but one on the floor to get a good night's sleep.

If I've had a few I end up sleeping on the lot and wake up and can't move my neck.

2, arm usually goes between them in a 'recovery position' kind of way and sleep on my side.

2 under my head and one between my knees, as I sleep on my side.

I hesitate to ask, but why do you need one between your knees?

One. Even then, my head usually manages to avoid it for a good chunk of the night - or the cat often nicks it.

2 for her head over the side of the bed, and 1 under her bum

Technically 4, but more like 1.

They are very old and flat, so doubled up inside pillow cases, one on each half of the bed, so not used simultaneously.

Back to the OP being in a hotel, I find more often than not that one hotel pillow is c. 2/3 the size of my two pillows (one feather, one synthetic fibre-filled) at home. Therefore one isn't quite enough but two is way too much so I end up having to construct some sort of wedge to get the ideal height. Sorry, That's one for the First World Problems thread isn't it?

Have 2 on the bed, but 1 usually gets chucked on the floor before going to bed.

Sometimes it makes it's way back up on the bed if I wake during the night.

whether sleeping alone or next to my husband, i sleep on my side.... one thicker pillow under my head, and my arm (from elbow down to hand) all kept underneath the pillow.

when alone i enjoy to keep a second, softer, standard size pillow, against my tummy :}

I'm thinking of trying this as I also sleep on my side. Supposed to help with back pain.

I'd have thought the same until recently, but it makes a world of difference!

2 thin ones or 1 thick one per person expected on the bed.

I remind my GF of this rule if she mentions throw pillows.

Then there's the rubbish square ones in German hotels. I usually end up using a rolled up towel in the pillowcase as well.
