Knife crime, we need to act now!
Discussion
There has been another couple of stabbings this week and I for one believe it is time to stand up and say enough, we need to ban these things immediately. They are deadly tools designed simply for chopping, cutting and slicing there is no need for anyone to have such a deadly weapon in this country.
Every day I see children being given knives in restaurants, at home and even in schools we need the Government to step up and outlaw these vicious implements immediately, how many more people need to die before it is enough?
See, knee jerk legislation is never a good idea,
Signed by a regular shooter.

Thanks, I won't take it personally.I was trying to demonstrate how stupid the constant erosion of my hobby is by throwing back some of the same arguments used. If you didn't understand that then I am sorry.
Pretty much every time there is a shooting in the UK there is some sort of outcry to ban yet more of the legally held guns as though this is going to stop the use of illegally held guns in crime. It's like the Brake argument for reducing speed limits every time a drunk idiot kills themselves and their friends whilst racing at speeds in excess of an existing limit, how would it have helped? It is simply grandstanding using a no doubt tragic event to push their agenda on a wave of popular public opinion and this is an excellent way to get bad legislation.
Oh and to those saying about children killing their siblings with guns, I am specifically talking about the UK not the US, which is in dire need of some form of control. Children should never have access to guns unsupervised by a responsible adult (and yes I know this rules out many of the owners in the US).
Also, criminals with guns should face far harsher punishment, not as a deterrent but to take these people out of circulation.

Tell us in detail how your shooting hobby is constantly being eroded
Well there was the ban on pistols and semi-automatics, after unbalanced nutters with a history of being unbalanced nutters went on a shooting spree. Even though there were existing laws and police guidelines which stopped unbalanced nutters having guns, only years of complaints against them went ignored. anonymous said:

Nobody is allowed to own nuclear weapons. Also even if they were available for civilian ownership, you couldn't afford one. You could go to an area of slightly radioactive sand or fake a bowel problem so you get a Barium isotope enema if you are hell bent on a nuclear fix. HTH. DurianIceCream said:

How is MKnight702's hobby being constantly eroded?
