Rihanna - what? Why? Really?

Yet another round of publicity for Rihanna this morning and in particular, the good ol' DM! no link attached 
What is it with this girl that almost the whole world seems to think she is some kind of Messiah or the greatest sex symbol known to man?
Now it may be me but top half ain't great .... face isn't a stunner and the bottom half which is flaunted everywhere has proper chunky thighs and classic larger bum. in a nutshell, a really weird and funny shape.
Now I am no oil painting myself but that is one of the reasons I don't flaunt my body to the paying public nor do I strip off at the drop of an eyelash to get attention from the World's press - my justification for asking the question in the first place; live by the sword etc etc.
Or is it just me??
ps - As an aside, is Rebecca Furguson (Mission/Greatest Showman) not only drop dead gorgeous but can bl00dy well sing as well??

What’s this thread about? I have seen nothing about Rihanna in the press for a while am I missing something? If it’s just in general about her overrated looks and body then yes but she is still far better looking than Kim Kardashian who has to be the most overrated celebrity who ever lived. She is also to blame for the current culture of obese women with fat saggy asses thinking they have a Kim K booty to show off by wearing tight leggings etc when in fact there is a gigantic difference between a nice shaped bottom and a fat cellulite ridden one

+1I find Rihanna very easy on the eye, with a nice figure and good singing voice. As you say, Kim Kardashian is utterly overrated and I'm amazed that so many people seem to fall for all the ridiculous hype.
Difficult to find any female singer these days to oust Beyonce from the top spot.

Obviously, I’d heard of the three women mentioned here, but aside from K. Kardashian, who obviously fell from the ugly tree, and hit every branch on the way down, I couldn’t conjure up an image of the other two.I find Rihanna very easy on the eye, with a nice figure and good singing voice. I never got the celebrity obsession that some blokes have, the pics of Rihanna in the DM are photoshopped and airbrushed to hell and back. When you see pictures of them sans re-touching they aren't that special.
