I have just had a spiritual connection and consequently know who will win Sports Personality of the Year this year, or something
As Im that convinced I need to urgently stick a tenner on it which is where it gets tricky
Obviously betting isnt open yet and we dont even know who will be shortlisted - well except me that is smile

Where would be my best option of a bookie to give me odds and take my money please?

Would somewhere like my local high street betting shop chain negotiate or not? If so would it be on the spot or via head office and a 2 week wait? Internet bookies are a bit faceless - any more approachable than others via email?

Thanks in advance, I'm happy to share the tip when Ive got in there and before the odds massively shorten!

Might be worth changing your post to remove the nature of the bet.

A PM would be welcome though wink

My Bet365 account offers several 'special' bets. This actually includes SPOTY.

Couple of years back I spotted around this time of year that Alistair Brownlee was 100:1, worth a fiver I thought.

This was before he won at Olympics etc... and he subsequently moved quickly to favourite. Ultimately he didn't win but I cashed out for a tidy £100 or so.

Fail!

The bet I was trying to place was Ant winning this years Im a celebrity

It just seemed obvious - what better way for a national treasure to find redemption?

Unfortunately I have tried numerous bookies and none will quote me

But thanks for the advice

Cheers

Are you saying you have knowledge that he'll be a contestant or knowledge that he'll win?
