Try the Ladies of Aintree thread.

Ah, sorry, you said "quality totty".

I'd rather wash my car with a bucket of glass shards than go.

Going 'to the races' is a bit council to me boxedin

Thanks for your input. How many times have you been to royal ascot?

Just the once. Maybe a bad experience as I found it to be full of drunken pretenders.

Maybe it's me with the issue as I'm a self confessed sociopath.

Not you with the issue, LT.

It's no bloody different to Aintree. Just that the southern ponces what go like to pretend that they're a better class of chav compared with the Aintree crowd.

You've only got to stand on the platform at Waterloo on race day (especially at the end of the day) to see the state of the absolute shower that like to think they're a "better class of racegoer". Or watch the stretched Hummers parading slowly around the roads near Ascot while "ladies" expose their breasts through sunroofs. Or pass by any pub or restaurant within 10 miles of the racecourse and watch the detritus of modern humanity washed up in car parks and beer gardens, trapped in shiny blue suits. And for weeks after the event the local cycle paths and footways will have a light dusting of broken vodka and beer bottles, thrown casually from passing racegoers cars.

I can't talk, as I like to go to music festivals. But at least there's a more 'honest' approach to debauchery at a rock festival.

wink

Used to have a regular job taking the neighbour and her mates to Ladies Day in the firms van. Got the chauffeurs kit on and her mum loved it as it was all 'madam this' and 'Madam that' and opening the door type stuff Got paid and fed as well, took a few books to read whiie they were away, and as we lived four miles away always got there early so they could get over to the Grandstand.

One year i was directed to park close to the Ladies Toilets, about 6 portaloos trailers, and, if the gents were anything to go by, quite reasonable.
So after my load had buggered off to the course it was interesting to watch the stream of women getting off the coaches and into the loos to get changed. I might say a lot of them made a good effort in the dress stakes and were well proportioned, unlike the silver ring clientele ( see Aintree.Daily Mail)
Well i say looked nice until they spoke..Essex quality to a tee.
So spent the afternoon reading, picking at the grub, and wandering over to see HMQ and friends haul past and the end of each race as the post was open access . This was before the corporate took over the heath and blocked a lot of it off, but a rail side position and for free.

So the last race came and went and the exodus of quite nice crumpet returned. however how they could go from 'Yep, i would,' to 'Not even with my mates' was beyond belief. I only wish i had taken a camera as the opportunity for soft porn was there for the taking ( along with a bit of blackmail!!) lost count of the ones that wanted to sit naked in the rear seats( a few did request further servicing as well !!!) and ii could have made a few bob with the amount of cash i was offered
.I will say the ONLY thing stopping me taking this up was i had no return time from my Neighbour!!

As they made there way up to the toilets there was a different type of stream coming out this time
Did this very year until the ground was redeveloped
. Only been back twice
but in a clients Car who parked in 1A in his own space. I just asked him if i could nip home and feed the dog. Once he had pissed off to the Royal Enclosure ( handwritten badges!) i shot home and spent the rest of the day working on my loco. Drove back at the start of the last race and was back in his space 20 mins later ,the passes on his windscreen had the police clearing the traffic so i wasnt held up. Happy Days

Yes, what is it with the shiny blue suits?

Drove past crowds of racegoers at York last summer, and almost every bloke sported the shiny blue suit / brown shoes combo. Is it some kind of chav uniform?

You think it's bad (which it is) we went a few years ago to the Melbourne Cup.. a whole new level of shiny suits and silly sunglasses.
