Never know if im being that stereotypical old man who comes out and shouts at the kids but i take pride in my cars.

Problem i have at the moment is you come onto our drive straight from the road, its a big drive thats shared with 2 neighbours and its at the end of the cul de sac.

As a result, every time the sun is out, kids come up and down the drive on their scooter/the football gets kicked onto the drive. They are never really on the drive long but come on every now and then throughout the day.

Most of the time the parents are watching them from afar as they are relatively young, but dont seem to think playing on a neighbours drive is a bit cheeky.

No damage has been caused to any of the cars yet, but it puts me on edge a bit. Should i let it slide aslong as they are supervised or should i tell them to bugger off.

Are these kids residents of either of the houses that share said drive

No, none of us have kids. They are from houses a few doors down.

Get yourself a cheap plastic gun and go out waving it around whilst screaming as loudly as possible. They probably won't return.

Same here, group of kids have started hanging out next door kicking a football around the street and anyones drive that is empty. The constant thump of the football is slowly driving me mad.

Does it come on your drive often?

Count yourself lucky, half a dozen 23 year olds set up a tent and camped on our front lawn last year. After it was all set up, I went out front and one of the mums came over and said, 'sOk for 'em to be there innit? They ain't causing no arm are they? What do you say

Occasionally, hit the car a couple of times as well. Told them to keep it away from the car. They mainly play on whichever drive is empty or just boot it from one side of the street to the other.

Similar issue...I live in a small cul de sac and all the kids from down the street congregate here, presumably as there’s no passing traffic. My neighbours kids play with this bunch.

They play football and ride their scooters up and down the footpath that runs under my front window to my neighbours house. My car is parked on the end of the drive right next to the footpath. They’re also all over the cul de sac all the time wobbling around unsupervised on their bikes while cars are manouvering. The screaming is unbearable at times.

When it’s kids from further up the street I open the door and tell them to clear off. The neighbours kids I don’t really feel I can say anything to. They’re outside their own house. Thankfully getting rid of the other scrotes usually means they all move, or the neighbours kids go inside.

It takes the piss when parents allow their kids to play on someone else’s drive or right outside your house. Heaven forbid they should play in their garden. They could even invite their friends into the garden with them, but that would probably annoy the parents that are so keen for them to bugger off and play anywhere but near their own house. furious

Tl;dr...I’d tell them to fk off.

Had this myself, and I know how annoying it is. There are several 'options' depending on how inventive you want to get!!

1. Go out and join in the kickabout with much enthusiasm and start a game of keepy-uppy. When it's your turn (after you have impressed them with your skills) boot the ball as far away as possible preferably in a river or thicket.

2. Buy a Bible and when they arrived engage them with passages from the good book and discuss the merits of becoming a Jehovah Witness.

3. Buy a machete and sharpening stone and stand at the end of your drive slowing honing the edge of your shiny blade with a menacing look on your face.

4. Just ignore them, with luck they will find the pleasure of masturbation and on-line porn soon and you will never see them again.

Depending on how the gardens set up and if you're on a water meter perhaps run a sprinkler?
Best way to deter them is to plant some lavender as bee's seem to love it and also another plant called Alcanet as it looks quite nice yet stings quite bad.

For some reason out drive seems to attract everyone. Dog walkers, pizza delivery drivers, kids, builder's eating their lunch etc.

We would love to put gates on but next door is rented and we share it with them.

We have a driveway alarm and it goes off at least once a week. We have only been in a couple of years and had we known just how often people are down there.

Once they get down and see it's a dead end with garages they usually turn round but even had people climbing the fence to look in to the garden. Also get a lot of kids climbing the back fence which is onto woodland.
