Funny or insufferable?
Just got done watching the 4th season of Harry And Paul and is by far some of the best British comedy i've ever seen. Particularly enjoy On The Buses:

And this Question Time sketch:

Funny - particularly Whitehouse.

I love these sketches

Whitehouse did a very funny sketch interviewing an animator 'just a little bit' - but I can't find it.

I lasted just over a minute - is this really what passes as 'comedy' these days? confused

Agreed, the most annoying trait of their comedy is that it's just VERY VERY lazy...I mean copying an already done to death comedy show and then inserting toilette humor isn't exactly new is it?

I gave up years ago when one of the first sketches of their new show was the two nerds of Bill Gates and Steve Jobbs and thought, is this some brilliant observational humor on how everything is so pathetic and tired, however no, it really was pathetic and tired.

However having ranted, if you love it - crack on!! smile

Agreed, that wasn't really a high point in their comedy careers.

What a load of fking st, how is this funny. While I'm at it who the fk can enjoy watching 'friends' or 'scrubs', they both make me want to kill myself.

I know comedy is subjective so fair enough, but I'd have thought that even if you don't like Friends, you can probably understand why someone would - some of the humour is quite clever. Same with Scrubs, which also has a certain charm (although I guess you probably have to watch a few episodes to pick up on it).

But that Harry Enfield stuff - dire. Shame because he used to have some fantastic observational humour - who can forget Kevin The Teenager? Likewise Paul Whitehouse with The Fast Show, some of that was brilliant.

I wonder why they stopped trying?

Very similar was a sketch they did for "Story of Twos" mockumentary, for the 50th anniversary of BBC2:
