My top tip - Live underground
Consider buying or building an underground home. Sure, you might not get much sunlight, but that’s a small trade-off to have your very own naturally cool hobbit house.

Ummmm..... yes and no..... That's why the tube is f
king unbearable in temperatures like this.Underground structures tend to stay at a constant temperature throughout the year, and when the tube was built it was quite cool all year round. Hot countries build houses underground for this very reason - Coober Pedy, Afghan tunnels etc.
But 100 years of heat generation in the tunnels from all the trains and people has warmed the clay around the tunnels which is a good insulator of heat, and even in winter the soil doesnt cool down much.
So if you lived underground and didnt generate huge amounts of heat then you'd stay quite nice and cool.
