The other day I got sent a small package from Thailand (no sender details). It contained a few small blank sheets of paper. It came from a P.O. box number At Suvarnabhumi Airport post office. It said it contained a book (it didn’t) and was worth 88 Cents. For the life of me I can’t think of how it could be a scam???? Any thoughts from the collective PH brain?

Send 500 of them the same as a few "real packages" in to reduce the chance of finding them?

There is a thing called “brushing” most usually associated with Chinese sellers on alibaba, but I am sure Thai sellers would do the same.

A retailer sets up an account on alibaba, selling whatever they sell, they have no seller presence as they have no feedback.
To gain feedback they need to sell items but alibab is aware of fake sales so makes sellers prove delivery. So retailer “sells” items via alibaba and posts them to the “buyer,” because they are not signed for they get delivered with no problem and the seller gets a sale and improves their ranking.
