Lovely it was, a nice lunchtime swim in a nearly empty pool. Very relaxing and something I do as often as can when working from home, today following a nice breakfast of poached eggs on toast in the morning sun with a coffee. Life is good.

I say this as a PSA to everyone to lead a healthy and happy life, when the opportunity presents itself.

Oh and yeah, don't realise when in the showers your uninsured iPhone is still in your pocket.

I did the same today. Pool wasn’t busy but it wasn’t quiet either ... was nice, just a shame the pool was so warm and could have been a shade cooler but not the end of the world!

Assuming it wasn't a salt-water shower it should be fine. Stick it somewhere warm and dry for a few days. The iPhone that is.

I'm about to take a dump on the crapper. Apparently they collect all the poo at the other end and sell to farmers for fertiliser so we basically end up eating our own st.

I have found either the sea or a river to swim in every evening this week. Its been brilliant. Sometimes friends have come down with their kids and play stuff, other times just me. It's been utter heaven.

Last time i went to a public pool was just before the the paralympics. It must have been mother and toddler morning, I was trying to do lengths or have a bit of a swim at least when a toddler learning to swim gripped me and thew her arms around my neck and and a little later my brother dived in and smashed his nose so I was the only bloke in a pool full of mums and little ones. To say I fet awkward was an understatement.

Luckly at 10 or 11am the Olympic side of the pool opened to the public. It had been used by several paralympic teams and it was like being on the set of willow. The water was fecking freezing in the Olympic pool.

Swimming pools in germany are a different league to uk ones. My dad never did loads with us as kids but ill always remember swimming in Saturday mornings in germany.

Took new phone out of short pockets before getting in pool today (Moto G6 for fact fans). Who's a clever boy.

After swim realised I was no longer in possession of my car keys.

Thankfully they were waiting for me at reception.

WTF is wrong with me?
