The government's websites are driving me insane.

I'm trying to get copies of my grandfather's marriage and death certificates, but I'm constantly taken in a circle between the GRO site and the gov.uk one. Anyone know how I do it online?

Just an example:

- Go to https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage...
- Click "Start now"
- Takes you to GRO (I have an account, am logged in)
- I presume click on "Marriage and Civil Partnership" on the right
- Oh, takes me back to gov.uk. Let's click on "Order a copy of a birth, death or marriage certificate"
- Oh, back to where I started. Click "Start now"
- Oh, back to the GRO main page ...

Infuriating.

It seems you should be clicking the 'search the GRO...' link in the middle of the screen.

The right hand side links all just take you back to the gov.uk intro pages (as you have found)

I thought that, but I can only search deaths that were registered up until 1957. I can't search for marriage certificates at all ...
