Ebay - does the seller know my address ?

I bought something on eBay the other day and I was going to pay. The seller has messaged me and said he has dispatched the item and I can pay once I see it.

Would ebay or told him my address ? I didn’t know they did this. I was only aware of them getting my address off PayPal ?

Thanks gents. I thought he’d only get my address once I paid with PayPal. That’s all good I’ll inspect them when they arrive and pay the gent.

From memory you can only find out the buyer's address once payment has been made.

As you have a transaction with the seller they can just fill out a form and they will send them all of your details
