Forum, we need your help to decide who had the worse parents. Both parties were shown totally inappropriate films at an early age, both had recurring nightmares for a long time on the back of it.
Scenario 1:
4 year old watches watership down. A lovely film featuring the systematic murdering of cute little animated rabbits. It's ok though, it's not like the dead ones end up in Eden, they seem to torment the living ones as animated raw evil with blood in their eyes trying to chew the paws of the still living. Reassuring to know.
Scenario 2:
6 year old subjected to american warewolf in london. "Calm down it's just a film" he says. Matey boy useful just spent 5 agonising minutes turning hairy and malformed, then ripped that bloke in the puffa jacket's throat out on a moor. Wholesome stuff.
So denizes of PH: since both parties seem to have been traumatised for at least 1/2 a decade in each case, who had the worst parents?

I remember watching the X-Files episode with the killer dolls as a kid. Had nightmares for weeks.

Me
Watched When The Wind Blows when I was 7 or 8 and the cold war was still going. Had nightmares about it until I started drinking
Lol same for me! It terrified me more than anything else. It makes you wonder wtf they were thinking “let’s do a nice children’s animation, about nuclear war.”Watched When The Wind Blows when I was 7 or 8 and the cold war was still going. Had nightmares about it until I started drinking
A mate of mine was baby sat by his older sister and made to watch Jeepers Creepers when he was 10 or so. It’s great sign the song and he goes mental

LOL. I was 11 when Jaws came out before this film i used to love swimming in the sea even going far out in my parents small power boat and jumping into the deep sea, god that film changed everything never again !Carrie for me.
Also remember seeing the Rocky Horror Picture Show at a very young age, bit of an eye opener that one...
The one horrible film I remember most from childhood was a public information film they showed us at school about the dangers of playing on building sites, bloody horrific so it obviously did its job but it also put me of a career in the construction industry.
