Sitting in the pub having a lovely pint of Guinness when three girls of about 7-8 with an older person (15) come in! Didn't want sweets , wanted money!! They are nearly a week early! !!

I had a young girl about 14 knock on my door in the evening. She had a well developed figure, well dressed and was on her own,she just said "trick or treat". Gave her a lecture about safety and shut the door quick,I just could not believe it.
It's just a stupid money making import from the USA. Bonfire night is bad enough but at least it has a part in British history.

Some spoilsports go on and on about trick or treat being a form of blackmail. rofl

What utter nonsense....it's actually extortion, which is a completely different thing.

Mrs went to the Trafford Centre yesterday and apparently there were groups of kids going shop to shop trick or treating? WTF!?

Apparently its an American thing and they are doing it here now. The shops take part. Perhaps they will allow me to build a bonfire in the food hall?

Thursday, good for a few quiet pints with friends or a meal without the crowds of Friday. Plus many pubs do specials/cheap pints to get punters in.
