Is there a CEO worse at speaking to an audience? He sounds like a man half way between panic and tears.

Steve Ballmer had a ... unique presenting style.

In all fairness to Cook though, anyone coming after Jobs was going to find him a hard act to follow presentation wise.

There were some worse speakers on the stage this evening.

I can forgive his presentation style, the decay of the Mac lineup is a travesty though. Maybe Lana Del Rey was supposed to distract from that.

Totally this.... he is terrible in every single speaking environment I've seen him in. From 1-2-1 pod casts (Smoking a joint didn't help) to the biggest of product launches. Terrible.

Very clever and cool guy though.

I'm always amazed at how bad his delivery his when presenting. He really seems unsure of himself. Given that his work is his passion and he's an expert at what he does, he should be able to present it with confidence.and clarity.

I regularly present stuff at work so I know it can be daunting, but it's really not that hard when you know your subject.

He’s a really nice guy in person though and very much more down to earth than I would have expected as well as being very articulate and clear. Very different to his onstage persona.

He was on the same blackjack table as me at the Wynn a few years ago for a good 2hrs and was quite chatty

I keep mistaking Tim Cook for Paul O'Grady. Anyone else think the same?

Fascinating chap however.

Jobs was always going to be a hard act to follow. He's done a pretty good job.

Nice to see the Mac get some more love at last.

to be fair he's no worse at public speaking than he is at running the company.

Depends on you as a person too though - different personalities will respond to presenting differently. I'm fine presenting in a small meeting. Up on stage even if I know the topic... just really stress out.
