The social unacceptability of mittens
Discussion
No need for mittens after the age of 6 as you're capable of wearing gloves without possible damage to the tiny bones in your fingers when putting them on. It's also much easier for a parent to put mittens on a child than it is to put gloves on them.
Mittens are for children, that's why it's weird to wear them as an adult. Like wearing a nappy or walking round with a dummy in your mouth.

Mittens are significantly better at keeping your hands warm. If warmth is more important than dexterity, then mittens are the sensible choice. Mittens are for children, that's why it's weird to wear them as an adult. Like wearing a nappy or walking round with a dummy in your mouth.
