In this scenario I'd just be frank with her. Tell her the honest truth, see what she comes back with. If it's good or bad, either way it will help you move on.

Hold on...are you the father of the child with the one that "took herself off the pill" ? If so why are you worried about one date from years ago

Exactly. I'd be putting 110% into making it work with her!

To answer the question offered in the thread title: Yes, unequivocally, yes!

Yeah but he's not interested in the mother of his kid, they ain't in a relationship anymore.

Only advice I can give is get yourself on the Jeremy Kyle show. (PS : you're fooked by the way)

Jeez......

Forget her. You've built her up in your own mind to something she probably wouldnt be able to live up to. Time to move on.

There are plenty of normal women out there but you seem to have filtered them out somehow.

Could be epilepsy, or maybe a brain tumour. It's not normal, whatever it is. Get it checked out.

But in general terms, and in my experience, no woman wants an man who puts apostrophes in plurals.

Sounds like 3 bampots who all use Tinder to me? Yes you're a nutter but a couple of paragraphs on a motoring forum are in no way sufficient to figure out why I'm afraid.

Fancy having a kid in such circumstances, you tt!

Sorry I can't be of more help. Is Tinder totally made up of such people then? Luckily I missed all that but I thought it was a shagging app-something to help you get your leg over?

And no-one quoted the OP before he deleted his post.

Standards are slipping.

I know!!!

Having read it back and reading the comments(even the one made by ass holes) has made me see how pathetic it sounded.

Feel like a weight has been lifted and its time to MFU.

Thanks all.

I expect most people have had similar feelings for an ex/crush at some point in their lives, if they care to admit to it. Just not quite in such circumstances as the OP. You definitely seem to be attracting the bunny boilers, sounds like both of them were after you for one thing (sperm donor). Reality is that 90% of childless women between late 20's and early 40's are bunny boilers. Just remember that you barely knew this first woman really, you've just built her up inside your head to be your perfect partner, and even if you did get back with her it's highly likely to end up a disappointment.
