Tome DeLonge and UFO stuff
Discussion
I didn't really know who this chap is until I watched him on Joe Rogan recently.
Seems he is quite interested in researching and hunting UFO stuff. He has even setup a company that aims to find out more about this hidden world and harness the technology it could potentially bring.

Is he a nutcase? Or do people think he is on to something here?

He is definitely a believer.
I met him a few years back while he was still in Blink 182, after he found I am Welsh we were chatting about UFOs and cattle mutilations that had taken place in Mid-Wales. Nice enough chap!
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out aliens are visiting, but I imagine it’s more likely to be secret aircraft projects.

I find it quite interesting.
There is obviously a level of technology that is unknown to the general public. That would probably explain a lot of UFO sightings. Let's not forget, it's an unidentified flying object, so means anything and not necessarily green space men.
Are we being visited? Maybe. I think that any advanced civilisation visiting us would be wise to give us a wide berth for now. We are too stupid and dangerous at the moment.
As I said above, the universe is huge. It would be bizarre if we were the only sentient creatures around. Maybe other civilisations exist, but we are too far way to communicate with them.
We clearly don't know enough to explain some bizarre things. Until you know about something, there can be a level of mystery about it.

it.
I read something a while back. When the US were testing spy planes at Area 51 they invented the stories of UFOs and aliens themselves to divert attention away from the odd things they were testing. Not sure if that's true or not it.
I live in Lincolnshire and am nearby to some major RAF air bases. I've seen weird things in the sky at night. The best was a set of three lights that whizzed around, met up and then disappeared off at a rate of knots in different directions. To me, they were UFO's as I have no idea what they were. I'm sure there is someone in a military base somewhere who knows what it was.
Oh yes, I'm also into astronomy, so do spend quite a lot of time staring up at the night sky.

I don't think we can call him a nutcase at all. That's well structured, a good idea and he has some amazing team members.
There is no doubt there is, was or will be extra terrestrial life somewhere.
It's a mathematical certainty.
The only debate is whether we as conscious thought humans will interact with it in the 'blink' of an eye that we will exist for in the history and future of time.
The footage of the UFO is compelling, but it could easily been something man made and secret.
I like his message though and agree with what he is trying to achieve.
If we all binned off the inane SKY TV subscriptions and gave The 'To The Stars Academy' the money, I think they'd progress very quickly and develop some good tech.

Personally I think 99.99% of stuff seen flying around is military.
You only have to look at some of the cool stuff we know about, X47B, Stealth Hawk, Okhotnik etc etc.
Most projects we know about today are at least 10 years old which means they are probably an evolution of old technology from at least 10 years before that..

A little bit of info regards Dr Hal Putoff… from TTS, has, wait for it, put me off a bit.
Puthoff took an interest in the Church of Scientology in the late 1960s and reached what was then the top OT VII level by 1971.[3] Puthoff wrote up his "wins" for a Scientology publication, claiming to have achieved "remote viewing" abilities.[4] In 1974, Puthoff also wrote a piece for Scientology's Celebrity magazine, stating that Scientology had given him "a feeling of absolute fearlessness".[5] Puthoff severed all connection with Scientology in the late 1970s.[6]
In the 1970s and '80s Puthoff directed a CIA/DIA-funded program at SRI International to investigate paranormal abilities, collaborating with Russell Targ in a study of the purported psychic abilities of Uri Geller, Ingo Swann, Pat Price, Joseph McMoneagle and others, as part of the Stargate Project. Both Puthoff and Targ became convinced Geller and Swann had genuine psychic powers.[7] However, Geller employed sleight of hand tricks.
And one of the other guys in the video....
Jim Semivan is an experiencer, along with his wife. They had an interaction with an alien being in their room about thirty years ago. Jim talks about it vaguely in his Forward to Tom’s “Sekret Machines” book.
It's a no from me.
On the other hand, Tom's old bandmate, Mark Hoppus, shared this video on twitter. Not his own video, but more of what you'd expect from a guy from Blink 182.
