What is this fo. ? Looks like a glass tube with a cap on one end, and has a council sticker on it.

Clipped to a bit of wood, and cable tied to a road sign. Appeared about 5 days ago, seems to be the only one.

No cables or other equipment...

Looks like a diffusion tube to me. Typically used to sample atmospheric NO2 pollution (although from a data quality perspective, they are usually deployed at least in duplicate)

Genius, thanks. Exactly what it is. There are another couple, apparently.

Probably due to a mega warehouse/road/rail interchange is built a mile or so away.
