Online Flowers
Discussion
So, I purchased flowers for my o/h, it was her name day you see (apparently this is a big thing in Slovakia, each day has a name associated to it, similar to a birthday, but for your name, who'd have known).
Anyway, this was what I ordered.

Here's what she received. According to the website these were meant to be 'Pristine'.

Now I don't really know flowers but these look like some
stole these off some poor b
ds grave. Anyway, I complained, I received a generic apology email agreeing these were s
t, we can send a replacement.
So I asked my gf what date do you want a replacement bunch sent, she told me the 14th or don't bother just get a refund. Great, kills two birds with one stone I'm thinking.
However, they reply that it isn't possible to resend flowers on the 14th.
I point out I can order a new bunch for the 14th and state its the 14th or just refund me thanks. They gave me more dates and then some more that aren't the 14th which they can deliver a bunch and they have now stated that I can't get a refund on flowers. So where do I stand with this, a quick google shows I have consumer rights and I am entitled to a refund but they dispute this.

Did you use a company that is similar to Internet Floral? If so they use (for the most part) local florists to prepare and deliver the flowers. So chances are the replacements would be just as s
t.
Get a refund, you should be entitled to one based off of your pics in any case.
Then use a local florist for the next order, some will have an online service or you can just pick up the phone and tell them what you would like and how much you want to spend.

I deliver for a local florist, who also has an Interflora franchise. To the latter you are just a number. If you order direct from the florist (and most of them have their own website) you'll get more flowers at a better price. They use Interflora for numbers, but resent the cut they have to pay for the franchise. They'll happily play ball with you if it means a better profit.
NB Major online companies mislead buyers by posting images of massive bouquets with very small print somewhere suggesting you won't necessarily get what's pictured.

I tend to use Bloom&Wild. Never had an issue. Flowers come fresh and well packaged.
Always worth using there referral stuff to get £10 off
this. My mum and GF have always been impressed. However the £6 extra charge for 14th is a piss take. I'm lucky as GF is off every Friday so I've saved £6 too Always worth using there referral stuff to get £10 off
I'm not tight - just don't appreciate the rip.bonerp said:

I noticed that too. So ordered for tomorrow. Bit of a con but it guess they are trying to cover themselves.

The wholesalers charge more on the day, thus the extra cost is passed on to the buyer. It's not the retailer who's ripping you off.

In theory flower prices should drop. Most of ours come from Holland due to tariffs put on African cut flowers. This was done to prevent African cut flowers under cutting Holland.
