As far as ebay are concerned the item has been delivered, they will of course ask you to chase up/open a dispute with Royal Mail to find out what happened to it (yes even though the onus for this is on the sender)

I've got exactly the same problem. When I ordered, it said delivery via Royal Mail. After the confirmation of order, it changed to Yodel!

A couple of days later, I got an email from Yodel saying that they had put it through my letterbox. Of course, it was nowhere to be seen.

I contacted the seller and also Ebay. They have said that they will step in if it isn't sorted soon. It wasn't signed for, so there is no proof that it was delivered.

The last two items I ordered from ebay provided tracking data. In both cases they were false made up numbers. However both were delivered so I didn't follow up.

I had to post the follow up. The seller has said, that as Yodel have SAID that they have delivered my order, would I accept a 50% refund! You couldn't make it up...

I passed a Yodel van earlier in a layby, you don't see too many about. Next time I'm passing I'll check behind the hedge for you.

You pursue it as item not received.

Same from amazon though. I’ve recently had various delivered from people in regular cars. Wonder if they have business insurance.

Never understand why you wouldn't have - I added class 1 business to mine for visiting customer sites etc and it cost me about £40 per year extra

Wife added to hers as she carts all her Slimming World stuff about - £20 per year

Yodel always do a gps fix when a package is delivered. Ask them to prove it.

The best way is by finding your local driver (find them by facebook!) and ask them for a favour. I lost count of the calls and bulls*t I got from their dial-in number. They insisted that they delivered it, the friendly courier took a screen shot that they had delivered it 40 miles away!
