Learning to act

For most of my life I have wanted to be an actor, I have always found reason not to though, I do have issues and refuse to come out of my comfort zone.
Browsing the Internet around Christmas 2018 a page popped up for an Acting for beginners class less than a mile away, I had drink on me and before I knew what I had done I had signed up and paid.
January arrived and shaking inside I went in, 10 weeks later a lovely lady and I performed a scene in front of an audience of fellow beginners and friends in our classroom, got drunk afterwards and low and behold signed up for intermediate acting classes.
Class 2 was last night, luckily for us but not for a professional actress, ( in rehearsals she is raised on a frame by 2 people, they managed to drop her from head height, landed on her bum bone, taken to hospital, she will be fine)
Their show was cancelled so the theatre was free, Lucy and I did a scene from Britannia waves the rules on stage in a real theatre, beyond my imagination that i did it.
9 more lessons then it is showcase night, on stage in front of a ticket buying audience, I am panicking and at the same time really looking forward to it.

Well done for having a go, and it sounds like you are getting a lot from it.
It always appealed to me in a weird way, essentially it's lying to people and convincing your audience i suppose. I keep joking with the wife that when we move back to LA I might enter some open auditions just to see if anything comes of it.

Monday night was showcase night, dropped on us about an hour before the performance ‘it’s not JUST going to be your classmates and other halves in the audience, paying theatre goers as well’
We did 9 duologues, you know what, we did pretty damn good.
2 more modules, ‘Monologues/acting for tv’ and we can move into advanced...
