I sold one of my bikes on there a couple of weeks ago.

The buyer didn't collect it as agreed, delayed and then wanted me to deliver it to a train station ten miles away. I declined, so he responded that he wasn't prepared to catch the bus and could he have a refund. I issued it immediately without comment.

I re-listed and sold the bike - for more money, happily. The new owner is delighted.

The original buyer has left me negative feedback. The first I have had in 20 years.

I've checked the chap out and he seems to be a professional middle-aged bloke, not an oik.

I get it that there are some idiots on Ebay, but I go out of my way to treat people well. It makes me despair of humanity when this sort of thing happens. What goes through people's heads?

Call eBay and explain. They will remove his feedback. Block his account then send him a message thanking him for the feedback :-)

It's done and it has gone.

It's sad that people like that exist though.

Oh he will know.

I am surprised he was able to do it actually. I thought that once a sale was cancelled all bets were off.
