Quiet morning in my household after a few drinks last night ended up with a big session with friends, two of which I managed to offend. I would point out that I never do this so I'm more than a bit mortified that I did this. Then, on the way back, I had a disagreement with Mrs Undirection about how I didn't mean to offend anyone and what I did or didn't say. Not a great end to the night or my finest hour. Now I'm getting dragged sofa shopping as I'm not in a position to argue after all that. getmecoat

They'll use guilt to achieve their goals. Guilt is good.

Never ever apologise.

not really the dog house, I got asked to work today.

Started at 6am, rang Mrs400 at 1130 to say id be home just after 12ish.

"i thought they at least of given you a full day"

"OH"

"See you in a bit then"

Transpires she was doing a deep clean on the house and I just get in the way.

So im off to walk the dog via the pub.

What are you in the doghouse for?
I am more interested in what you did to offend them?

I know I am in the doghouse but I dont know why for certain.

I think it may be because she wants to give £2000 to someone who I dont like and they dont like me, and its joint account money.

But sod it, I am enjoying the peace and quiet.

Sorry for the dull answer, but we don't have a doghouse. She's very understanding, we talk things through and she doesn't sulk/bear grudges etc.
I've also learned to keep my mouth shut and we swap notes after the event.

I went to the toilet outside of my regular allotted time slots so I'm going to be paying for that for at least a week.

The car has died. This morning I was caught looking at supercharger kits and MGF/TFs. She considers this foolish, expensive and impractical.

It’s not just me that gets the decision on where to go/where to eat all the time and get the guilt trip when I try and not do it to see if she will. 😂

Fitting swing doors to my doghouse, make it easier to get in and out.

Must be down to wet Bank Holiday Monday blues, the dog house seems very busy today.

Because I did not conduct phone conversation on the car hands free with my son in the way she thought I ought to have done, not the content but my approach to conversing, not chatty enough apparently.

When we spoke again later I didn’t ask but he seemed fine despite my previous lack of chit chat which because I was momentarily focussing on driving instead of yapping. Incidentally he is not her son & is 29 years old.

I don't think anyone can fault her logic, she obviously has the brains in that partnership.
