Walking to get my lunchtime sandwich I came up behind a young couple with a pushchair, I think they might have briefly stopped walking for some reason but I didn't really notice. The pavement was very wide so I simply walked round them, the mother said 'sorry about that' totally unnecessarily. Then the father said, very aggressively 'what do you want us to do, walk in the road? '
All I did was walk round them, didn't say a word, what on earth was the problem?

When you have kids at pushchair age, you'll understand. The sound of birds chirping in the morning will p155 you off. Don't take it personally, they've probably had no sleep, had to deal with a child running away when trying to get them dressed and maybe seen 4 episodes of peppa pig by the time you came across them All I did was walk round them, didn't say a word, what on earth was the problem?

The wife apologised, and this probably prompted the bloke to think you'd done something to elicit the apology, he's assumed you've indicated some kind of displeasure that he didn't see/hear, so decided to have a pop. He probably doesn't expect the wife to apologise for nothing, which she evidently has, giving him grounds to believe you did something to prompt it.

Walking back from the station, a couple of girls both with kids in pushchairs on a stretch of narrow pavement next to a busy main road have stopped for a chat. Now I could walk into the main road. I didn't, I found the very small gap between them and the pushchairs and "accidentally " lightly knocked both of th pushchairs with my feet on the way through " oy watch where your going!"was the comment. I could have something but just carried on knowing that they would be grateful I'm keeping them and their wretched offspring housed and in fluffy tracksuits whilst i do my12hour day.(now retired aaah)

Remember when you become a parent, you suddenly become elevated to a higher plane of importance, especially in relation to people without kids. Parents are also aware of how dangerous everyone and anything is to the continued existence of their little bundle of joy and become hypersensitive to any potential threat.
TL:DR New parents are self important bellends.

It's always fascinated me how mothers with pushchairs/prams use them as a battering ram to get through, and yet if you dare to say anything you're assaulted with a verbal battering!!
I saw a mother the other day pushing her pushchair with child in out from between 2 parked cars into the road to make traffic stop so she could cross. Had visions of that scene from the movie Speed in my mind.Get your own back on the self righteous gits.
Take your Mum/Dad shopping at a supermarket and park in the last available parent/child space.
When parents get irate, point at aged relative and say they are the parent & I am the child so we're entitled to park here. Now jog on you pushchair pushing sack of flesh.

Faced with a gaggle of mums with pushchairs who were five abreast taking up the whole width of the pavement I just stopped. Traffic was approaching from behind and I didn't want to step into the road. They huffed and puffed and manoeuvred round me. When we were sorted out one of them said loudly, "They're about today."They certainly are.
