One single thing that makes you think 'good lad/lass'
Discussion
As an opposite to the 'knob' thread.
I'll start off with one from this morning. It slipped my mind that a skip was arriving, for building rumble waste.
7.50AM I'm woken by the doorbell. It's the skip man. Stumbled down in my dressing gown, literally still half asleep. Grab my van keys and answered the door.
I asked the driver if I give him my van keys if he could shift it for me, as it's parked where the skip needs to be, pointing out where to move it to. 'Sure he replied, any odd quirks, alarms etc?' then moved it for me.
A very kind none knobish move. I'm sure had he been a younger generation he would as thought it 'not his job description' or 'I'm not insured'
Thank you nice man for saving me the indignity of stumbling out half cut in my dressing gown, to shift my van.
Share your tales of unknobish acts etc?

The other day, passed an Audi RS6 on trade plates, driven by a lad of about 21 in overalls, obviously just taking out for a test after doing some work, stuck on the inside lane of a pretty empty and straight 2 lane dual carriageway, doing about 68mph.
I suspect most kids in that position would be ragging it.

Probably on a final warning for ragging one last week I suspect most kids in that position would be ragging it.

My neighbour always puts my bin out for me when I am away.
Same here and vice-versa. He also mows my front lawn when he's doing his own. As he's been on holiday this week I did them. We also take in parcels if the other's out. Neither of us think twice about it, it's just 'what you do'.largespiced said:
At work when someone refills the Kettle after emptying it. Always a sign of a decent person!
That's almost as bad as the rim job, and it's not compliant with ISO3103.Always draw fresh water and never re-boil. When I make a coffee at work I always empty and boil fresh, hate people who fill the kettle and boil it 'for the next person' and then nobody actually goes into the kitchen to use it. Pointless waste of 'leccy.
